What do Unitarian Universalists believe?

Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion with Jewish-Christian roots. It has no creed. It affirms the worth of human beings, advocates freedom of belief and the search for advancing truth, and tries to provide a warm, open, supportive community for people who believe that ethical living is the supreme witness of religion.

When are your services held?

From the Sunday after Labor Day through the third Sunday in June, our services are held at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

During the summer months there is one service only, at 10:00 a.m.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! Scan our congregation and you’ll find t-shirts, jeans, and sandals alongside suits and dresses.

Where is the church located and where should I go when I arrive?

Main Line Unitarian Church is located at 816 South Valley Forge Road, Devon, PA. There is parking on the church property both in front of the building and on the south side, with additional parking available in Dittmar Park directly across South Valley Forge Road. We suggest that you allow enough time to stop first at our Welcome Table, located just inside the front entrance (and at the top of the stairs from the lower entrance) where church staff and volunteers are available to greet and assist you.

What are your services like?

Our services begin with a prelude, and include hymns from the Unitarian Universalist hymnal, Singing the Living Tradition, music performed by the church choirs and member or visiting musicians, an invocation, readings, prayer and meditation, a sermon, benediction, and postlude.

When do you have classes for children and youth?

Faith Development classes for children and youth are held simultaneously with Sunday services.

Youth from grades 7 through 12 also meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

Is there childcare for infants and toddlers?

We provide childcare for children 3 and younger.

Do you have classes for adults?

Yes! There is a variety of adult programming, including our adult faith development classes, the Pathway of Spiritual Maturity.
