Nationalities Service Center

Attention: open in a new window. PrintE-mail

nscThe Nationalities Service Center (NSC) is a non-profit organization that provides resettlement services to immigrants and refugees in the Greater Delaware Valley. It provides employment, social, and legal services, English language classes, a senior center for elderly immigrants and translation and interpretation services for clients.

Main Line Unitarian Church members participate in a variety of volunteer activities. We donate clothes and household goods on a regular basis. Small work groups go to the offices to organize corporate and individual donations in such a way that they can be used to furnish and stock apartments for newly arriving families. On occasion we will make deliveries of donated items directly to families in their homes. We are organizing library tours in order to acquaint refugees with the free library services in their area and also host special events such as an International Women’s Day celebration.

Teachers are always needed for teaching English as a Second Language. Finally, we are working on setting up a play area with games, toys, and a television and DVD player for the children of clients. It is possible to volunteer regularly or once in a while. For more information This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
