Community Service
Interfaith Hospitality Network

MLUC is one of a group of twelve churches and synagogues in the Delaware Valley, known as the Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Main Line (IHN), that provide food and shelter for homeless families. Families stay in an individual church for one week and then move on to another one.
West Chester Food Cupboard
Each week the church collects food for the West Chester Food Cupboard. Donations are collected in shopping carts at the main and lower entrances of the church on Sunday mornings and are delivered to the cupboard on Tuesday. In 2010 we supplied over 1500 pounds of food to low-income families and others in need.
Nationalities Service Center
The Nationalities Service Center (NSC) is a non-profit organization that provides resettlement services to immigrants and refugees in the Greater Delaware Valley. Small work groups from MLUC go to their offices to organize donated items so they can be used to furnish and stock apartments for newly arriving families and to provide other services and support events such as International Women’s Day.
