The Pathway of Spiritual Maturity is the Adult branch of the MLUC Faith Development Program. It is comprised of individual and serialized classes, film screenings, and service events over two unique sessions, Fall and Spring. These courses are open to MLUC members, friends, and visitors.

The process of becoming spiritually mature is a lifelong task. We can designate milestones along the path, but the path itself never ends. The courses offered in the Pathway of Spiritual Maturity are designed to engage participants in both reflection and action, especially within the context of our community.

Meditation Groups

On Sunday mornings, Main Line Unitarian Church provides open meditation groups for adults. Meditation groups are a great way to explore your spirituality and connect with the community. Regular meditation practice can increase our self-awareness and allow us to become more open and present to our experiences. We will continue to grow through the discovery of our capacity for compassion and loving kindness. Advanced sign-ups are not required. Learn more about the Meditation Groups.

Yoga

Led by MLUC members Leslie Wright-Riley, Noelle Hammerbacher, Ashley Sonson, & Mary Mayer, these gentle yoga classes are for all levels. All church members and friends aged 16 years or older are welcome, from beginner to advanced. Bring a yoga mat if you have one. Advanced sign-ups are not required. Email Noelle () for updates.

Yoga
Every Saturday, 10:30-11:45 a.m., beginning January 28 through Spring

Meditation Group I
Every Sunday, 9:00–10:30 a.m., Facilitated by Rob Eames in Room 208
New participants from the church and the larger community are welcome. Sessions typically include readings and materials related to mindfulness, sharing amongst participants, 20–30 minutes of meditation, and a closing.

Meditation Group II
Every Sunday, 10:15–10:45 a.m., Facilitated by Usha Srinivasan in Room 306
New participants from the church and the larger community are welcome. This group is open to everyone, beginners and experienced meditators alike. We gather, greet each other, and take a few minutes to center ourselves. Then we share a short reading to enhance our practice and sit for 20 minutes. At the end, we share any insights, experiences, or concerns.

Meditation Study Group
This group will begin a new session on February 20. We meet at MLUC from 6:30-7:30 a.m. each week to discuss one chapter from a select book. For this session, we will discuss The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. We will meet weekly through the spring (except for a brief hiatus in March for vacations) until we complete the book.
