Neighborhood Caring Groups
Main Line Unitarian Church is the largest Unitarian Universalist congregation in Pennsylvania, but with membership spread across a broad geographic area it is sometimes difficult to foster the sense of community that is vital to a robust and thriving church. Our Neighborhood Caring Groups were created to help strengthen the bonds of local community.
Organized by neighborhood, each group includes between 20 and 30 households. A coordinator helps facilitate gatherings, typically twice each year, and assists the church in maintaining current contact information.
What begins as an opportunity to connect with other church members living nearby can grow into deeper relationships. Often members will assist one another in times of illness with visits, cards, transportation, and meals.
For more information, contact the Parish Nurse, who oversees this program with the help of a Steering Committee.
