Artist of the Month
Marcie Feldman’s paintings will be on exhibit in the Fireside Room through Feb. 14. This show is sponsored by Robert Bullock's Coalition Ingenu, a non-profit organization which showcases the work of self-taught artists.
Although Feldman does not fall into this category, she shares the core elements of personal vision and dream-like imagination. Feldman holds a BFA from Tyler School of Art, an MFA from Boston Museum School, and received a Fellowship from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA, where she returns each fall as an artist-in-residence. She has been a long-time member of an artists' co-op in Old City, and has exhibited for many years in the Philadelphia area. Inspired by visionary art, she creates detailed, imaginative worlds, rich in color, whimsy, and wonder. The rich tapestry of images will engage the viewer, and offer welcome respite from an over-stimulating world.
Please attend a reception for the artist on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at MLUC. Call 484-341-8014 for information.
