Rev. Dr. Justin Osterman at Marriage Equality Day Press Conference
Supporters of gay marriage turned out for a Marriage Equality Day press conference in Harrisburg on February 8, 2010. The conference, organized by Sen. Daylin Leach, aimed to encourage support for Leach's bill legalizing same-sex marriages.
Rev. Dr. Justin Osterman, Senior Minister of Main Line Unitarian Church, was among the speakers. After the press conference, members of the Unitarian Universalist Pennsylvania Legislative Advocacy Network (uuplan.org) fanned out in the hallways of the capital to deliver more than 1,000 Valentines to state senators and representatives. The Valentines were collected in 14 UU congregations from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia. The total included more than 80 from Main Line Unitarian Church.
"As a person of deep personal religious conviction and the leader of a community of faith, I believe that this bill challenges us to live up to the highest ideals of our American democracy and plumb the depths of our hearts – the depth of our spirits – to act in the name of love and justice," Rev. Osterman said.

Online Giving at MLUC
For a convenient way to make donations, we encourage you to click on "MLUC's Annual Fund" under the "Members/Friends" section. There, you'll find a simple process for initiating an automatic series of regular contributions or for making special one-time donations. You can also print out a detailed confirmation form for your records. Making regular contributions online eliminates the need to write out checks or prepare envelopes. For the church, online giving produces a more consistent level of donations throughout the year.
